McDonald’s Customer Service: Refunds, Complaints & Support

Customer-service guide • reviewed 14 September 2026

Use the right support route for the type of McDonald’s order. Restaurant purchases, Mobile Order & Pay, delivery orders, app problems, and McDVOICE survey feedback do not all use the same resolution path.

Fast routing

How do you contact McDonald’s customer service?

McDonald’s U.S. provides an official Contact Us form for restaurant feedback, app feedback, questions, and customer care. The form asks for the restaurant and visit details when the issue involves a location.

Open McDonald’s official Contact Us form.

Refunds

How do McDonald’s Mobile Order & Pay refunds work?

McDonald’s current Mobile Order & Pay FAQ says that for a Mobile Order & Pay problem or refund request, excluding delivery, you should return to or contact the restaurant where the purchase was made.

Processed payment? McDonald’s says customers who cannot pick up an order and have already been charged should contact the restaurant for assistance.
Delivery

Who handles a McDonald’s delivery problem?

McDonald’s says to identify the delivery vendor first. Its current U.S. contact and delivery pages direct customers to the provider handling the order.

Restaurant issue

What if your restaurant order is wrong or incomplete?

For a restaurant purchase or non-delivery Mobile Order & Pay issue, contact the restaurant involved. Keep the receipt or order details so the location can identify the transaction.

If you also want to record feedback, use the official McDonald’s contact form or the receipt survey when your receipt includes a McDVOICE invitation.

McDVOICE

Is McDVOICE the same as customer service?

No. McDVOICE is a receipt-based feedback survey. It can record what happened during a visit, but it is not the same as opening a refund request, resolving an app-account problem, or contacting a delivery provider.

If the survey itself is failing, use the McDVOICE not working guide. If the receipt offer is rejected, use the validation-code redemption guide.

App account

What if the problem is with the McDonald’s app?

Use McDonald’s app help pages for account, payment, Mobile Order & Pay, or Rewards issues. For an unauthorized charge, McDonald’s advises customers to contact their bank and update the account password.

Complaint follow-up

How do you make a restaurant complaint that can be followed up?

Use the official Contact Us form and provide the store number or choose the restaurant through McDonald’s locator. Include the date, approximate time, order route, and a short description of what happened.

Do not rely on a low McDVOICE score alone when you need a refund, written response, or urgent follow-up.

What not to do

What customer-service claims should you be careful with?

  • Do not assume every complaint gets a corporate phone call.
  • Do not assume every refund has one fixed processing time.
  • Do not send payment-card or banking passwords through a survey comment box.
  • Do not treat a third-party complaint site as McDonald’s official customer care.
